Our Environment
In the 20th century, farmers pursued for higher productivity and cost reduction.
They used much of agrochemicals and chemical fertilizers for farm plants and much of antibiotics for farm animals and fish.
Though consumers enjoyed low prices of farm products, the results have been the pollution of water and soil, exhausted farm land with much less useful microbes, more residues of harmful chemicals in farm products, generation of bacteria very resistant to conventional antibiotics, and so on. What we need in the 21st century are the safety environment and foods free from harmful chemicals.
